Welcome to the Valuation Office information page for the revaluation of all rateable properties in the local authority areas of Clare, Donegal, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Councils and Galway City Council. From this page you can keep up to date with the revaluation activity being carried out by the Valuation Office in your area.

Reval 2023 is the new name for the merged Reval 2021 and DLR Reval projects. All previous information about Reval 2021 and DLR Reval can be found on the archived pages for those projects.

Please be aware that the Proposed Valuation (Net Annual Value) on the Proposed Valuation Certificate you have received is not your rates liability.

The remaining PVCs will issue in tranches between 23rd February and 25th May 2023. Where a ratepayer is dissatisfied with the proposed valuation or any of the details contained in the PVC, the ratepayer should make a “representation” to the Valuation Office within 40 days of the date of issue of the Certificate.  The closing date for making representations is printed on each Proposed Valuation Certificate.

23rd September 2023

On the 23rd of September 2022, Proposed Valuation Certificates were issued to approximately 31,000 ratepayers in the above mentioned Local Authority areas.  

6th September 2022

On 2nd September 2022, the Commissioner of Valuation, with the consent of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, revoked existing Valuation Orders for the revaluation of commercial and industrial properties in Clare, Donegal, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Council and Galway City Council Rating Authority areas.

 Following the completion of a statutory consultation process between the Commissioner of Valuation, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the relevant Local Authorities, the Commissioner has made new valuation orders for these rating authority areas.

The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage has agreed with the Commissioner of Valuation that the Commissioner will defer the revaluation of rateable properties in the local authority areas of Clare, Donegal, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Galway, Kerry and Mayo County Councils and Galway City Council until 2023.
