Reopening of Public Office

Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions announced by Government on the 30th April 2021, the Valuation Office Public Office will reopen on 17th May 2021. All access to our Public Office is in line with the prevailing public health guidelines issued by Department of Health and HSE.

Access to our Public Office is by appointment only. We will open from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday. There are 3 appointments that can be booked in each timeframe. 

  • In the morning time slot (10am – 12pm) 3 appointments are available starting at 10.00 am, 10.15am and 10.30am respectively and running to 12.00 pm.
  • In the afternoon time slot  (2.30pm – 4.30pm) 3 appointments are available starting at 2.30pm, 2.45pm and 3pm respectively and running to 4.30pm.

Customers are requested to complete a COVID-19 Customer Access to Public Office form which can be returned by email to info@valoff.ie or brought to the Public Office when visiting

The archive records for the 19 digitised counties will only be available for research on public access computers located in the Public Office.  The archive books for counties not yet digitised (Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Waterford, Westmeath and Wicklow) will be available to customers in Public Office. To comply with quarantining requirements books may be unavailable at times.

On reopening, we expect a strong demand from customers for appointments. We will endeavour to facilitate requests as promptly as possible. Please bear with you as we resume services.
