Public Office Reopening

Last updated at 13:07 on 09/01/2024

We are pleased to announce that our Public Office will reopen on a limited basis from Monday 14th September 2020. The decision was taken with the health and safety of both our staff and members of the public of paramount importance.

The Valuation Office has changed its access procedures in response to Covid 19 in line with Department of Health and HSE guidelines. To allow for social distancing there will be a maximum of 6 appointments per day.

Access to our Public Office will be by appointment only. We will open from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.

There are 3 appointments that can be booked in each timeframe:

  • In the morning time slot 3 appointments are available starting at 10.00 am, 10.15 am and 10.30 am respectively and running to 12.00 pm at the latest.
  • In the afternoon time slot 3 appointments are available starting at 2.30 pm, 2.45 pm and 3 pm respectively and running to 4.30 pm at the latest.

We are developing an online booking system. In the meantime, appointments can be requested by e-mailing info@valoff.ie. Please note that we will respond to confirm an appointment or advise otherwise.

Customers will be asked to complete a Covid 19 Customer Access to Public Office form which can be returned to Valuation Office by email or brought to Public Office when you attend for your appointment.

Customers must bring and wear a mask during your visit.

Please note that the archive records for the 19 counties which are digitised will be available for research on public access computers only.  The archive books for the 7 Counties not yet digitised (Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Waterford, Westmeath and Wicklow) will be available for research taking account of need to quarantine books after use.

On reopening, we expect a strong demand from customers for appointments. We will endeavour to facilitate customers as promptly as possible.
